Diesel Mechanic I
Under General direction of senior staff or management, you will preform skilled mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on automotive, HD equipment, trucks, and power equipment. You will be expected to keep your general area safe and clean while also helping coworkers with additional tasks as needed.

We are looking for a Mechanic who specializes in working on heavy-duty trucks, diesel engines, and regular vehicle maintenance. A DTS HD Truck Mechanic will be responsible for:

Diagnosing engine problems
-
Diagnosing computer systems
-
Maintaining drive trains, oil systems, and transmissions
-
Inspecting and repairing air brakes
-
Conducting performance tests
-
Replacing defective parts
-
Helping conduct DOT inspections
-
General shop cleanup and maintenance
-
Document and record all work completed
-
Any and all additional tasks assigned to you by management
All applicants MUST have:
-
Must be able to regularly bend over, lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand on your feet for extended periods of time
-
A valid MT driver’s license (Class B Preferred but not required)
-
The ability to pass pre-employment physical exam
-
The ability to pass a controlled substances test
-
A High school diploma, GED or HS equivalent
-
At least 2 years of relevant mechanical experience
-
Some form of specialized training accreditation in Diesel Engine repair (ASE Certification preferred but not required)
-
General experience and understanding of safety practices and procedures
-
General Computer Knowledge (Experience with ShopMonkey is preferred but not required)
-
Must have required, standard tools expected of a Diesel Mechanic

A good work ethic and willingness to work independently
Diesel Mechanic II
You will independently preform skilled mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on automotive, HD equipment, trucks, and power equipment. You will take detailed notes of work completed and take regular stock of inventory. You will be expected to keep your general area safe and clean while also helping coworkers with additional tasks as needed.

Diesel Mechanic III
You will independently preform skilled mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on automotive, HD equipment, trucks, and power equipment. You will take detailed notes of work completed and take regular stock of inventory. You will be expected to keep your general area safe and clean while also helping coworkers with additional tasks as needed. You will be expected to supervise all other mechanics and maintain shop safety compliance.

We are looking for a Mechanic who specializes in working on heavy-duty trucks, diesel engines, and regular vehicle maintenance. A DTS HD Truck Mechanic will be responsible for:

Diagnosing engine problems

Diagnosing computer systems

Maintaining drive-trains, oil systems, and transmissions

Inspecting and repairing air brakes

Conducting performance tests
-
Replacing defective parts
-
Conduct DOT inspections
-
General shop cleanup and maintenance
-
Document and record all work completed, review and verify all completed jobs and write up the detailed work orders
-
Provide and update fleet and vehicle maintenance reports for customers
-
Maintain adequate inventory levels by reviewing and ordering necessary parts and supplies for the shop
-
Estimate cost and time of services
-
Review and make suggestions for hourly price changes to maintain profitability and competitiveness
-
Schedule customers for services and ensure the calendar is both accurate and up to date at all times
-
Assign additional tasks to staff
-
Organize and Prioritize work assignments issued to staff to meet deadlines
-
Ensure the Shop remains in compliance with all local and federal safety regulations
-
Keep current, detailed and accurate service records on all DTS vehicles and equipment
-
Ensure staff remain in compliance with Human Resources requirements
-
Assist upper-management with additional tasks as needed
All applicants MUST have:

Some form of specialized training accreditation in Diesel Engine repair (Master ASE Certification required)

Demonstrated advanced knowledge of computerized and standard diagnostic tools and repair software
-
Advanced experience and understanding of safety practices and procedures (DOT, OSHA and MT Labor compliance)
-
Basic understanding of human resources requirements and compliance
-
Advanced Computer Knowledge (Experience with ShopMonkey or its equivalent is required)

Advanced knowledge working with an inventory software
-
Must have good leadership skills and attention to detail
-
Must have required, standard tools expected of a Diesel Mechanic
-
A good work ethic and ability to work independently

Willingness to continue your education and keep updated on the latest industry advancements and standards
